Holding space, finding glimmers, and stepping into 2025

Hi there,

We are holding a lot Subscriber First Name. Grief. Change. Uncertainty. Hope. Resilience. Connection. Some days, it feels like the weight of the world is too much to carry. And yet—here we all are, still showing up for one another in ways big and small. Still creating spaces for belonging, for care, for community.

One of the things that’s been getting me through is being mindful of where I place my attention. Lately, I’ve been searching for glimmers—those tiny moments of unexpected joy and connection. A shared smile with a stranger. The way light hits the snowy sidewalk in the morning, turning everything into sparkles. The deep belly laugh of a friend on the other end of the phone. These aren’t big, sweeping solutions to uncertainty, but they are reminders that life, even in its heaviest moments, still holds light.

Looking back, looking ahead

As we step both feet into 2025, I invite you to pause—to settle your nervous system before rushing into the next thing. To sit with the past year, not to judge it, but simply to witness it. If you’re looking for a way to reflect, here are some of the questions we’ve been asking ourselves as we prepare for the year ahead:

What held you up in 2024? A person, a ritual, a place, a small joy?
Where have you found belonging? Even in moments of uncertainty?
What do you want to carry into 2025? And what are you ready to let go of?
When have you felt most connected this past year? How can you create more of that?

These reflections aren’t about resolutions, checklists or “things we have to achieve”. They’re about identifying the kind of relationships, habits, and ideas we want to nurture moving forward.

When I look back on 2024, the moments that I gathered with others were the ones that sparkle—like that winter light on the sidewalks. They were reminders that I am not alone, that our lives are meant to be shared, that belonging is built moment by moment. And that gathering doesn’t have to be big—it can be the quiet act of reaching out, of naming what’s true, of holding space for one another’s grief, joy, and in-between-ness. These tiny (but mighty!) actions create anchors in my days, pulling me back toward presence when the world feels chaotic.

Why reflection matters

When we take time to reflect—whether on our own or with our team—we set ourselves up for something deeper than just progress. We make space for real growth. Pausing to look back isn’t just about learning from the past; it’s about strengthening relationships, gaining clarity, and moving forward with more intention (instead of just reacting to whatever’s next). The messy middle of reflection? That’s where the good stuff happens.
