the strength of the linden tree
Tilia Consulting is guided by the principles of abundance, justice, respect, and care.
Our name comes from the Latin word for the linden tree, long associated with love, protection, harmony, and clarity. Historically planted in town centres, linden trees served as gathering places — spaces for dialogue, decision-making and refuge. Some believed they could not be struck by lightning.
Like the protective canopy of the linden tree, we aim to create spaces where people feel grounded enough to think clearly and brave enough to speak honestly — even in uncertain or stormy conditions.
In practice, this means designing processes that help groups stay human, navigate complexity, and make decisions that hold up — technically, relationally, and over time.
We help people have better conversations — especially when they matter most.
Change is constant. Navigating it well requires engaging in conversations that are sometimes uncomfortable, often complex, and always consequential.
